Many venues contain questionable and potentially dangerous rigging installations or practices. Master rigger, Tracy Nunnally, will review best rigging practices, show examples of incorrect and dangerous rigging, and discuss the resources available for your facility. He will share tips and tricks for making rigging effects more accessible to productions in your facility. Be prepared to ask questions and get advice for your particular situation!
The rise and fall of technical teams are not always the result of amazing audio/video chops, but rather the result of effective systems. Systems help align teams, conquer initiatives, and ultimately bring everyone together. This breakout will help attendees understand the importance of solid systems using Life.Church as an example and how they manage their 36 campuses through a small team of staff and volunteers. We’ll discuss volunteer onboarding systems, technical support and preventative maintenance approach to help develop solid production systems.
Join this panel from several multi-site churches to talk about creating and developing systems for churches of all sizes.
Each church has its own unique vision and as a result, the technology needed to support that unique vision is key. This breakout will look at how we can align the needs of audio, lighting and video systems with your local church’s specific calling. Micah will explore the tension of designing, building and maintaining systems for multi-sites churches with different venues all with specific needs and look at some specific examples of when a clear mission helped point to the right gear and other times when the wrong gear didn’t fit the calling. We will talk about high level ideas around matching technology to the needs of your church as well as answering more practical questions like: How do I find the right venue for a portable church? How do I get the vision for technology I need from my senior leaders? What happens when you drop a projector during an installation?
Production can get complicated and there are so many things you need to control to make it all happen. Learn how to make your life easier by using Companion + Stream Deck to control and streamline your church production gear and workflow, including things like: video switchers, audio consoles, projectors, screens and software. This class will also cover how all production needs for a children’s classroom can be fully controlled by Companion.
