Filters, lamps, air compressors, fader maintenance. All things that I should be paying attention to, but that usually go to the bottom of my list. This breakout will look at ways to keep your new and older gear working to the best of its ability.

Organization: A Clean Backstage is a Happy Backstage
Backstage organization. How can we organize our gear so that it is easy for staff and volunteers to see where things are? We’ll look at some practical ways other churches have organized their backstage, and we’d love for you to share your own backstage organization tip that you’re proud of!

Should I buy cables pre-made or should I be making them myself? What tools do I need to crimp HD-SDI? Or CAT6? How can I repair that cable myself? In this class, we’ll look at the cables, connectors and tools you need, and where to get them. We’ll also look at practical tips on how to terminate different types of cables.

How do you set up your production systems on its own AVL network? Why is it important that I organize my gear on the network, and what could happen if I don’t do it properly? We will talk through the basics of switches, IP address and cabling as we learn how to set up, manage and monitor your AVL equipment through the use of network ports.
