Live Audio Engineer
Bio
Scott is a 30-year veteran of live sound engineering and was the FOH Audio Engineer for award-winning blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa from 2014 to 2019. During his tenure, Scott toured the world every year and earned mixing credits for several live DVD recordings. Prior to working for Joe, Scott spent 14 years as the Audio Director/FOH Engineer at Willow Creek Community Church in Barrington, IL, which featured both a 7,000+ seat theatrical center and a 4,500 seat auditorium with state-of-the-art production systems.
It was also during this time that Scott also did some outside audio projects with Joyce Meyer Ministries (JMM). Between 2006 and 2010 at Willow Creek and JMM, Scott mixed such Christian acts as Delirious?, CeCe Winans, Matt Redman, David Crowder Band, Charlie Hall, Take 6, Robbie Seay Band, Lincoln Brewster, Darlene Zchech & Hillsong, Watermark, and Kendall Payne. Scott also mixed 10 Global Leadership Summits at Willow Creek, including guest artist Kevin Olusola at the 2012 Summit whose performance was broadcast via satellite link to more than 120,000 people.
While at Willow Creek, Scott was also given the opportunity to work on an engineering team for the 2011 Oprah Winfrey Surprise Spectacular show at the United Center in Chicago, where he mixed an all-star cast of artists that included: Pattie Labelle, Alicia Keys, Josh Groban, Aretha Franklin, Jamie Foxx, Usher, Stevie Wonder, Jackie Evancho, Rosie O’Donnell and Kristin Chenoweth.
Early in his career, Scott earned a college degree in Media Communications from Webster University and spent seven years as the Audio Director/FOH Engineer for Life Christian Church in St. Louis, MO, where he helped design and install a new PA system and recording studio for a 2,800-seat auditorium.
The son of a high school shop teacher, Scott believes in passing the torch to the next generation of sound engineers and has inherited the gift of relating his experience to help others learn and grow.
