Bio
Married for 20 yrs. Father of 4 children. Lives in Nashville. Hobbies: cooking, organic gardening, dog training.
I was born and raised in Huntington, WV. I started as an Art Education Major at Marshall University in Huntington, WV.
While living in Oregon, I served a 2-year mission for my church. This is where I first learned of Full Sail and I was introduced to Patrick Hughes, my admin rep.
After my mission, I spent a year working to save money to attend Full Sail. I worked security at my local arena just to get to watch the few concerts that would come into town.
After Full Sail, I went to work for Vari*Lite in Nashville and was there about 8 months before landing my first tour with Aerosmith – then DC Talk – then Hank Williams Jr. A few years later, I was the Lighting Director for country female artist Terry Clark – then Hank Williams Jr – then Travis Tritt. While with Travis Tritt, I became his Production Manager. This all was in a span of about 5 years. Also during that time, I worked on various TV specials and award shows. This included CMA award shows, The Stellar Awards, shows for Target, and the TNT Network “A Very Special Christmas from The White House”.
2003 to 2008 – I was with Brad Paisley as Lighting Crew Chief. For two of those years, I was responsible for doing the technical design of the Largest Versa Tube Rig in the world. (Largest at the time.)
2008 – On tour with Sir Paul McCartney
2010 – On tour with Neil Diamond
2014 – SRO Awards – Nominated for Video Director of the Year
2014 – On the crew that broke the Guinness Book of World Records for “Most Shows Played in a 24Hr. Period”
2015 – Lighting Designer for Country Music Television (CMT) Hunter Hayes’ Instant Jam. Toured with Dead and Company, featuring John Mayer
2016 – Video Director for Sam Hunt, Blake Shelton and Under Armour
