Ian Simkins grew up outside Detroit as the oldest of seven homeschooled children, where he first experienced ministry and preached his first, admittedly terrible, sermon at sixteen. He studied Student Ministry at Judson University and spent a formative summer serving in India.
Ian later (accidentally) became the Lead Pastor of Poplar Creek Church during a season of crisis, where he also met his wife, Katie. After serving at Community Christian Church and as a radio co-host, he and his family moved to Tennessee in 2021. Today, Ian serves as Lead Pastor of The Bridge Church, where he and Katie are raising their three incredible boys.
